Pork and Cabbage Noodle Stir Fry

How to make it

  1. Cook the noodles in a large saucepan of boiling salted water for 1 minutes less than packet instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat a large wok or frying pan over high heat. Add the vegetable oil, then cook the pork mince, breaking it up with a spoon, for 5–6 minutes until browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the cabbage and carrot to the pan and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until just tender but still crisp.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the abalone sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar and water.
  5. Add the cooked noodles and sauce to the pan, tossing well to coat everything evenly. Stir-fry for a further 2–3 minutes until heated through and glossy.
  6. Remove from the heat, toss through the spring onions and serve immediately.
